Aadhar SSUP: Aadhar card is a unique identifier given to every Indian citizen by the Government of India. This is a unique 12 digit number which is different for every Indian citizen and which makes them a unique identity in the country.

With this step implemented by the government, you now don’t need to step out of your house and go to the nearest aadhar office. Instead, you can correct and update all the information right from your computer.

Here are the step by step instruction on how to do Self Service Update on your own easily.

Step 1: Go to the official website of SSUP here.

Step 2: As soon as the screen opens, you’ll see an option to “Proceed” down at the bottom. Click on it.

Step 3: Once you click on Proceed a new page will open where you have to enter your Aadhar card number and click on send OTP.

Step 4: Now you’ll get an OTP (one-time password) on your registered phone number by UIDAI. So keep your phone near to you.

Step 5: Enter the OTP and also enter the security code shown in the grey box.

Step 6: It’s time to update or correct your information. Select all the areas which you’d like to make changes like Name, Address or Date of birth. Once you have selected the field that you want to update click on ”Submit.”

Step 7: Now finally, you need to upload the documents. For the address change, you need to upload electricity bill, birth certificate for changing the date of birth. You can even upload your 10th or 12th mark sheet. Keep in mind, you need to upload colored documents and not the black and white ones.

Step 8: You’re done. If you have any doubts regarding the process you can contact the UIDAI support at this toll-free number 1800-300-1947.

After the process is completed you need to wait for a few days for the confirmation. It takes 15 days or sometimes more to update or correct your information in the aadhar card. Once it’s done, you’ll receive a message from the official department.

As soon as you get the final confirmation from the official team you’ll have the updated Aadhar card at your home within the next 15 days (MAX).
