Linking your mobile number with Aadhar card is mandatory and it’s better if you do it today. That being said, the government of Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has made Aadhar card a unique identity to every Indian citizen. As the government is making Aadhar card a centralized card to connect all your applications and documents you’ll have to link your mobile number with the Aadhar card sooner or later. Because in most of the cases before confirming your application they’ll send an OTP (one-time password) on your registered mobile number.

But before we start to make sure you have these 3 things with you:
- Email ID
- Aadhar Number
- Mobile Number
Step 1: Head over to UIDAI official website or click this link https://uidai.gov.in/
Step 2: You’ll now see a heading that says “Aadhar Online Services” and down it has 3 subheadings “Aadhaar Enrolment”, “Aadhaar Update”, and “Aadhaar Services”.
Step 3: Click on the “Verify Email/Mobile Number” under the “Aadhaar Services” section. Or you can go directly to this website https://resident.uidai.gov.in/verify-email-mobile
Step 4: Now you’ll have a new page in which they will ask you all the basic details. Fill in all the details and don’t forget to fill in the captcha code. Once done, click on the “Get One Time Password” button.
Step 5: Now within a couple of minutes you’ll receive an OTP from the UIDAI official board.
Step 6: Enter that OTP and click on “Verify OTP”.
If the entered mobile number matches with your registered mobile number it will show you “The Mobile Number (Your Mobile Number here) matches our records”
With this whole process, you’ll be able to know which number is currently linked in your Aadhar account.
